These colourful Sakura earrings are glorious and are perfect for brightening up your day! They have been designed and made by exciting contemporary jewellery designer Sally Collins.

The earrings are made of reclaimed tin, which have been textured and layers of colourful acrylic paint applied by hand. Sterling silver is used to create the ear wires and riveting to connect the reclaimed tin together.

Each of these processes take time as they are all created by hand. Treating the reclaimed materials with respect and finding treasure within these discarded items.

Delivery

Orders can be collected from our shop in Clifton Village, Bristol at no charge. As standard items are sent via Royal Mail – signed for delivery to your home for £10. This is an insured service.

Customised jewellery and earrings cannot be returned or exchanged.
Silver stock items are dispatched / available to collect within 1 week of purchase.
Gold stock items are dispatched / available to collect within 2 week of purchase.
‘Back Order’ items are pieces will be made up and dispatched within 4 – 6 weeks.

About the Sakura Earrings – Sally Collins

These colourful Sakura earrings are glorious and are perfect for brightening up your day! They have been designed and made by exciting contemporary jewellery designer Sally Collins.

The earrings are made from reclaimed tin, which have been textured and layers of colourful acrylic paint applied by hand. Sterling silver is used to create the ear wires and riveting to connect the reclaimed tin together.

The earring measure: 7.4cm (Total length) x 2.5cm

Sally collects different materials including reclaimed plastics from toys and abandoned vapes, and reclaimed tin. She explores the idea of over consumption in our increasingly overcrowded and fast fashion-focussed world. Her jewellery asks the question ‘when is enough, enough?’, and explores the notion that we often strive to be better, stronger, more productive and more idealised versions of ourselves…where do we stop, how do we know when enough is enough?

She also applies traditional jewellery techniques to her work, including riveting, soldering and forming, as well as creating details, findings and frames in sterling silver.

Sally’s work will be on show until May 31st along with contemporary jewellers Emily Kidson and Rosita Bonita. We invite you all to see the jewellers work in person at our Clifton Gallery.
