This modern geometric silver open bangle was designed by our in-house designer Rebecca Boatfield as part of the Clifton Rocks annual group project.
The modern geometric silver open bangle is different from many other bangles as it is a half bangle half bracelet. This bangle started off as a test for an idea she had when working on the project. The idea came from not wanting to waste metal, so she challenged herself to make it a wearable design. Rebecca decided to add a complimentary chain which can be adjusted to the customers correct size.
Rebecca’s inspiration was to explore geometric forms in architecture and urban environment and how they translate on to metal. Repeating these forms creates beautiful patterns and catches the light.
Every element is made from sterling silver and measures 52.5 mm, if you would like a different size, metal or would like to talk to Rebecca regarding a bespoke design please get in touch via our website or pop in to Clifton Rocks.
The Clifton Rocks team project is something we started in 2018 as a way to nurture and showcase the creative talent of our team and keep the creativity flowing by bouncing ideas off each other. The project was titled ‘five gold rings’, one made by each member of the team. The following year we marked our 10 year anniversary by creating our Decadence collection – jewellery inspired by the number 10.
Previous projects have included stacking rings, signet rings and pearl earrings.
This year the annual project was to design a Bangle. Each team member has designed and handmade a bangle in their own unique style and we invite you to see our Bangle exhibition at Clifton Rocks.Â
