We are excited to introduce you to the Margate based jewellery brand Rosita Bonita, founded by jewellery designer and maker Rowenna back in 2010. It all started after experimenting with screen printing her own illustrations onto leather, from there she created her first collection ‘Orchard’, which featured blooming fruits & feasting Hummingbirds.
Rowenna creates show stopping handcrafted wearable art, she is well known for her use of screen printed and embossed foil leather. Making colourful and exuberant jewellery which empowers the wearer. Inspired by glamorous faraway lands and times gone by, combined with icons of myths and legends, which she explores through her passion for drawing. We encourage you to explore her beautiful range of leather pieces, you will be blown away by it!
From the very beginning Rosita Bonita has always maintained a ‘slow fashion’ approach making each piece to order. Creating many great collections over the years until gradually refining her collections to a classic core of her and her fan’s favourites. This gave her time to explore exciting new collections which use more traditional jewellery techniques but still come with her unique creative handwriting.
