This necklace is named after Ava Gardner, on of Rowenna’s favourite style icons. She was an American actress of the 1950’s and 60s and very glamourous.
The gold bamboo bar necklace are made from recycled sterling silver and have a gold vermeil layer (2.5 microns of gold), with 4 bamboo bars and chain at the back to adjust the chain length. The necklace measures just under 16″ adjustable to 17.5″.
These gold bamboo bar necklace was created in wax, she created a carving of a single miniature bamboo pole, which turned into a complete precious metal collection – B A M . B O O.
Making bamboo the main motif, which was inspired by Rowenna’s love of vintage and specifically mid century tiki chic, beautiful vintage bamboo furniture and architectural elements from far & wide.
Using the structure of Bamboo to create a fun collection which brings the sunshine into your life. The collection is created using sterling silver and gold plating, adding colourful elements from enamelled silver and semi precious stones.
