We love these intricate silver hand studs, created by the talented Dovile Bertulyte as part of our Winter Showcase. Dovile’s work is inspired by how we as humans connect with nature and the connections we make between each other and how important they are to us all.
“Holding hands is a way of showing our affection. Hands are one of the most sensitive parts of our bodies and there’s a deep emotional connection when you hold the hand of someone you love. Did you know that holding hands, releases oxytocin, a neurotransmitter that makes you feel good?”
Created using recycled sterling silver, the clasping hands have been wax carved with a great deal of detail including the veins on the back of the hand.
These inspirations include a beautiful moment between a mother and daughter, macro photography of flowers and fauna, patterns created by rain drops, rugged landscapes and the sea and it’s mythology.
Her work would be a perfect sentimental gift for a loved one or a treasured friend. Perfect for wearing everyday and dressing up for that special occasion.
Our Winter Showcase is available to view in our Clifton gallery until early January 2025. We also have a few of her pieces to view online.
If you have any questions or would like her to create a piece using different stones or metal please get in touch for a quote.
