We love the simplicity of these handmade oxidised silver kintsugi round mini studs, made by talented maker Emily Butterly.
The round studs are made from sterling silver and 18ct yellow gold, the silver has been oxidised turning the silver black.
Measuring 8mm in diameter.
Kintsugi is the Japanese art form of mending broken damaged ceramics. Making mended cracks a feature of the piece, rather than hiding them. This creates a more interesting and precious piece than before.
Emily grew up in Bristol and has always been creative and drawn to the freedom of artistic expression. She found a new passion for jewellery making after gaining work experience in a jewellers aged 17, she then went on to graduate from Brighton University in 3D Design and Craft. From there she gained further experience through working with well known brands and jewellers.
Her work would be a perfect gift for a loved one or a treasured friend. Perfect for wearing everyday and dressing up for that special occasion.
Our Winter Showcase is available to view in our Clifton gallery until early January 2025. See more of her work here
